The 15-year-old anti-Narmada dam agitation finds itself politically isolated in the national capital, thanks largely to its intemperate rejection of the Supreme Court verdict last month favouring the dam's construction.After two days of a sit-in at Rajghat, some 2,000 Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA or Save Narmada Movement) activists have been asked by the police to shift to a deserted place behind the famed Red Fort, which could prove useless politically.
