The Czech government approved a draft law yesterday on energy efficiency, aimed at lowering the country's relatively high demand for energy. The law, if approved by parliament, would introduce a 0.01 crown tax per each kilowatt hour of electricity, raising about 500 million crowns annually for environmental projects, Environment Minister Milos Kuzvart told a news conference.
