Don't be tempted by colourful foodstuffs stacked on the shelves of roadside eateries, warn scientists. These colours can cause damage to liver, kidney, heart as well as skin, eye, lungs and bones, they say. A report published in a recent issue of the journal 'Current Science' says even the permitted artificial colours, if consumed indiscriminately, are not completely safe.
