Most Delhiites may not even know that Masudpur, a provider of popular bio-manure, exists just a km away from upmarket Vasant Kunj. But the 1.5 -acre plot with four huge black tanks and lots of cow-dung spread on the ground has the bio-gas plant - standing strongly for 17 years. A DDA letter that landed at the table of Bhimsen Sharma, assistant director,non-conventional energy, Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC), recently started the trouble. Dated May 4, the letter informed the Commission about the sharp hike in the annual lease of the 1.5-acre plot of Masudpur plant - from about Rs 30,000 to more than Rs 2 lakh.
