The last vestiges of local resistance against the launch of the 220-MW naphtha-based barge-mounted Tannirbhavi power plant were thrown to the winds on Tuesday and the decks cleared for the installation of a 'power barge' that has made its way from South Korea and is now waiting in New Mangalore Port for 'appropriate clearances' to be shifted to the Gurupura estuary.
