The Delhi state government has drawn up a multipronged strategy to tackle the dismal power situation in the Capital, which includes among other things rebids for the approved private power projects, enchanced power generation by the existing plants, and reduction of commerical losses. In an exclusive interview to The Economic Times, Delhi chief minister Shiela Dikshit said that the Delhi Vidyut Board (DVB), which records the highest commerical loss of about 47 per cent, will have to either turn around operations and provide quality power by this summer or privatise.
