Delhi to set up model villages

The Delhi government has decided to develop "model" villages in Delhi with every infrastructural and civic facility possible. In its Cabinet meeting on Monday it also deliberated on the relocation of the dairies in non-urban areas besides optimum utilisation of the available land for the cow shelters. As many as 29 villages have been identified by the government with the aid of various agencies for developing them as "model" villages in the coming financial year. The remaining 177 villages in Delhi will get covered later, said official sources. Chief minister Sheila Dikshit in the meeting instructed the minister of food and civil supplies Raj Kumar Chauhan to inspect the land which is being misused by responsible people actually meant for the go sadans.
