Inspite of certain areas being marked as the notified ridge, the green lungs of Delhi still remain under threat. Not only are farm-houses still being constructed on the notified ridge area, but the ridge is also bein used as a dumping ground for malba (construction waste).Dr. Iqbal Malik's latest report "Static Ridge", says that nearly 100 marbel shops were demolished in 1996 after the Supreme Court's orders in March 1995.
