Delist wild boar from Wild Life Protection Act

KRISHNAGIRI: The Communist Party of India has demanded that wild boar should be delisted from the Wild Life Protection Act and compensation disbursed for the crop loss by the wild boars in the district. Over 200 members of the CPI staged a dharna near the Kundarapalli Koot Road on the Krishnagiri-Bangalore National Highway on Sunday. Demands Their other demands include raising the height of the Marasandiram Check Dam to pave the way for the Big Lake to get water, disbursal of patta for agricultural lands and house sites to the poor families, additional bus service during peak hours for the benefit of school students, cleaning of all the overhead tanks in the Veppanapalli Panchayat Union, land for burial grounds in Pandapallipudur, Kuttur villages in Santhamalai Panchayat and surrounding villages and provision of streetlights.
