The battle to contain the fire raging at the refinery in Laem Chabang industrial estate (Thailand) was continuing through the night, and experts said it could take another day to die down. There was no way the flames could be put out, fire-fighters said. All they could do was try to stop the blaze spreading and wait for the storage tanks to burn out, expected within the next 24 hours.
