: International civil society organisations have urged G-20 trade ministers to reflect upon the negative impact of the WTO regime and help develop an alternative global trading system, which can ensure development, social equity and environmental protection. The trade ministers of G-20, a major group of developing countries including India, Brazil, Pakistan, South Africa and China, are slated to meet in Brazil from September 9 to discuss future strategies as the WTO talks collapsed in June this year.
