Although developing countries are deeply affected by the decision of institutions such as International Monetary Fund, World Bank and World Trade Organisation, they have little say in their decision-making, says UNDP's Human Development Report 2002. Less than half of the voting power of the institutional financial institutions rests jointly with the US, Japan, France, UK, Saudi Arabia, China and Russian Federation. The voting power is grossly imbalanced against developing countries.
