Development scheme for Mewat approved

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Monday that a Rs. 8-crore scheme had been approved for overall development of Mewat during the current financial year and the Central Government had been urged to forward a Rs. 25-crore scheme for approval of the International Fund for Agriculture Development, Rome for the second phase of Mewat area development project. Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a mega speciality health camp at Nagina in Mewat district, he said that a Rs. 205-crore Renny Well Scheme had been formulated to improve the availability of drinking water in Mewat and a Rs. 24-crore scheme to raise the socio-economic status of women in Mewat area had been forwarded to the Planning Commission.
