New Delhi/Gurgaon: As more and more people invade the forests in Aravali area, leopards are being forced to come out in the open. The consequence have been fatal for the big cats.
In the last year, three leopards have been killed in Gurgaon and neighbouring Nuh. One leopard was killed in a road accident on NH-8 last year and last month two cubs were allegedly killed by a farmhouse owner in Nuh. In May last year, a cub was caught from Golden Heights farmhouse in Sohna.
Locals in Baghdoli Ghati, a valley famous for spotting of big cats in the past, said they have seen a number of leopards in the last few years.
