Bangladesh and the United States of America agreed to intensify their cooperation in the energy sector with an avowed aim of advancing their socioeconomic goals. A joint statement signed by Bangladesh Energy Secretary Akmal Hossain and US Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson says the two governments recognize the immense opportunity for fruitful cooperation in the energy sector and decided to further enhance cooperation in the sector.
