Whan a pair of 11-year old twins were diagnosed with diabetes, the doctor treating them prescribed daily insulin injections. The parents were shattered. Their's was not a lone case. Increasingly, more and more children are being affected by diabetes. According to the American Diabetes Association and the Diabetes Federation of India, children, barely three years old, are suffering from the disease, which renders them insulin dependant for life.
