  • 07/12/1998

The daily intake of dioxin from food fell by 20 percent to two picograms per kilogram of body weight in fiscal 1998 in Japan, according to the findings of a survey released Tuesday by the Health and Welfare Ministry. The previous year, the figure stood at 2.41 picograms. One picogram is one-trillionth of a gram.
