Domestic users, slum clusters may get tax waiver

Certain categories of consumers may be excluded from the ambit of the Delhi Water Board (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to regulate the use of groundwater in the Capital. "The model bill does not specify any distinctions among categories of consumers. But we are ready to leave out some sets of people from paying user-charges to make the bill more acceptable,' said Arun Mathur, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), DJB during an interaction with The Indian Express reporters today.
