DPCC asks for closure of Indra Prastha power plant

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has asked for closure of the Indra Prastha Thermal Power Station for non-compliance with environment is not possible, says the secretary of environment and forest of the Delhi government. However, the threat of closure of the thermal power station has already been communicated to the Working Group on Environment anf Forest, government of India. According to the Environment Secretary, due to paucity of funds, the Indra Prastha Thermal Power Station is not in a position to install the required pollution control equipment.
