The government has completed various uplift projects in different areas of Kurram Agency to help improve the living standards of tribal people. The Political Administration has completed a drinking water supply system for the village of Pewar in Upper Kurram. The community is located close to the border with Afghanistan on the main road. The project is providing approximately 4,800 individuals with potable water at their doorsteps. Due to shortage of water, the people of the area were facing great hardship in gaining access to clean drinking water so the elders of Pewar approached the Political Administration of Kurram Agency and requested access to clean drinking water in their area, says a press release issued here on Monday.
