Blame it on the rain gods or the government but the drought is for real. Come summer and the country witnesses a spectre of water crisis as diverse as culture. A total of seven states have fallen foul of the monsoons so far. The drought has impacted millions of human and animal lives. But even in such adverse conditions, there are hundreds of villagers who have emerged unscathed from the severe arid spell through their water conservation activities.
