High temperatures throughout JUne meant bad weather for blood banks in the Capital. the unrelenting heat did not allow many blood donation camps and in the few that were held, the response was poor. Blood bank officials say March to JUne is always a "dry spell" for blood donation. College students, who are most ardent donors, are busy with examinations in March and April, an in May they go on vacation.
