All power plants in the country will eventually have to comply with the ISO 14000 norms of environmental safety and protection. To adopt the right approach for proper environmental protection, the Ministry of Power has set up a research and development (R&D) committee which will recommend appropriate steps for introducing environmental technology verification systems in the country.
