The Energy Conservation Bill, seeking to put in place a comprehensive legislation for efficient use of energy and its conservation through the creation of a statutory authority called Bureau of Energy Efficiency with appropriate powers to it as also to the Centre and the States, was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.
