Dhaka and Washington signed a joint statement of Cooperation in Bangladeshs's energy sector. The US pledged to send a team to Dhaka to identify opportunities for jointly improving the energy infrastructure and policy, legal and regulatory mechanisms needed to promote foreign investment in the energy sector.
