The Delhi Energy Development Agency (DEDA), which was supposed to have heralded an era of pollution-free, environment-friendly use of non-conventional energy sources, is all set to pass into history.Sources said a proposal to this effect would soon be put up before the Cabinet for approval.Gross mismanagement and years of financial irregularities to the tune of over Rs eight crore committed by the officials had left the DEDA coffers empty and finally it is on the verge of sinking. As a face-saving device, the Government recently ordered a vigilance enquiry into the financial irregularities and has suspended the project officer to the solar equipment division, Devendra Khanna.
