In a report released in Athens, the International Energy Agency (IEA) praises the Greek government moves towards introducing more competition and private ownership in Greek energy markets. The report, entitled Energy Polcies of IEA Countries - Greece - 1998 Review, recognises the complexity of establishing new energy polcies as well as new regulatory and legal frameworks for the oil, gas and electricity industries. It encourages to take further steps on these issues.
