Hong Kong legislators have supported delaying a scheme that will give rebates to consumers who buy energy-saving appliances, so that they can be given more choices. Under the scheme, residential households and developers buying such appliances, would be given rebates ranging from $20 for compact fluorescent lamps to $300 for a Grade 1 refrigerator.
