Apprehensions over traders hoarding 12 lakh tones of wheat from UP to boost the futures notwithstanding, the wheat stock in the central pool is sufficient to meet the requirement of the Public Distribution Schemes of other ministries and the employment generation schemes of the rural development ministry, the food ministry said.
