Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today reiterated that "there was no necessity nor any requirement of the power produced by US energy major Enron in the state and Centre had been told about it in clear terms". During the meeting of Chief Ministers and state energy ministers in Delhi on March 3, Maharashtra had made it very clear that "the centre can purchase power from Enron for its nationalised power utilities", Deshmukh told reporters here.
