Finally, the US power major, Enron company, has given the preliminary termination notice to the Maharashtra state electricity board (MSEB), making it clear that it is no more interested in running the controversial Dabhol power project. Though it is preliminary notice the top officials of the MSEB confirm that it is a serious beginning of the process to withdraw from the Dabhol power project. The Maharashtra government and the MSEB are snot so much worried about withdrawal of the Enron from the project, but the kind of compensation the government has to pay back to the Enron after the termination of contract.
