Whatever else might be said about Enron's preliminary notice to terminate its Dabhol power project contract, it does at least help to concentrate minds. A solution to the problem must be found in six months. This is the time available before a final termination notice becomes due and final accounts have to be settled. So Maharashtra and the Centre no longer have the option of letting things drift. (Editorial)
