The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said Friday it will not grant any further leeway on new environmental gasoline standards in the United States, despite tight supplies in the Midwest and a waiver it granted in stock-starved St. Louis. "St. Louis is a special case," said one EPA official, who asked not to be named. "There was a pipeline disruption there that caused some serious problems, and the EPA decided on enforcement discretion. We have no reason at this time to do the same anywhere else."
