The recent outbreak of diahorrea in the colony for widows of the Bhopal gas disaster, at Karond (Nishatpura, M P) has exposed the functioning of the respective Government departments and the lack of coordination among them. While the Government departments associated with the housing project had highlighted their role in a bid to claim accolades but when it came to accept the responsibility over the sub-standard construction and irregular maintaince they are shrugging off the responsibility putting on the blame on each other. Whatever be the reasons for the lapses, the incident has again proved the lack accountability in our administrative system.
