EU supports 'underwater windmill' sea power project

A British company is about to start a project backed by the European Union to build an "underwater windmill" that will test whether the power of the sea can provide an environmentally-friendly answer to the world's energy needs. Hampshire-based IT Power has an $1.1m grant from Brussels to build the world's first full-size marine current turbine connected to a national electricity grid.
