European Union's move on aflatoxin levels criticised

India has protested against attempts by the European Union (EU) to set its own limits on the permissible levels of aflatoxin in food products imported to its 15 members. Indian objections were notified today to the European Commission (EC) , the EU executive body. Other major exporting countries including, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, and South Africa are also expected to file their objections before the February 15 deadline.
