A farm forestry scheme at the premises of the Perungudi Sewage Treatment Plant (PSTP) was launched on Wednesday. Under the scheme, the area, measuring 650 acres, will be covered to develop farm forestry in Perungudi, using treated sewage. In the initial phase, a plot of about one acre has been taken up in which 13 types of tree species will be raised.
