Rocked by yesterday's violent protest, the Gujarat government today capitulated to the Bharatiya Kisan Sangha ultimatum and agreed to supply the entire water from the Kankavati dam to the rural areas. The decision leaves Jamnagar, which was promised part of the water from the dam, high and dry.
