Illness caused by contaminated foods will increase unless the government undertakes new and comprehensive public health efforts to detect cases amd prevent outbreaks, leading experts said at a scientific meeting held in Atlanta . The scientists urged lawmakers to support improved tracking of cases, more complete testing and better laboratories to help control the vast array of contamination that can result from contaminated food.
