The insulation portion of the crude distillation unit (CDU) of the IOC refinery has been damaged completely as the result of a fire last evening. The fire in the main insulation line took place due to operational working as the plant is in a stabilisation period. According to the IOC refinery Director, the fire was put out immediately, the spokesman claimed to damage had been done to the internal columns of the unit.
