Five bulb type turbine units having a capacity of 23MW each will start functioning shortly in Pakistan. According to WAPDA sources, three out of eight turbine units started functioning from Feb 27. The units have been built on the right bank of Indus, close to Chashma barrage. The total installed capacity of the project is 184MW.
