For the Indian industry the theme song is on 'convergence'. After the summit on convergence in the media, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is preparing to hold its Energy Summit-2000 on the theme of convergence in the field of energy and environment. Though CII holds energy summits every alternate year, this one will be different since it will cover within its ambit production and conservation of energy, and also the green energy, and also the green energy options, according to Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director of CII Southern Region.
