Fuel tanker sinks off UAE coast

A tanker carrying 1,300 tonnes of fuel oil sank off the northern coast of the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, and the fate of its crew remains unknown, officials said on Sunday. The UAE's Federal Environment Agency (FEA) said in a statement faxed to Reuters that the 3,500-tonne Zainab sank about 16.5 nautical miles off the coast of Jebel Ali north of Dubai on Saturday afternoon.
