A pool of funds from the developed world should be set aside to facilitate expansion of renewable energy technology in the developing world, a member of National Planning Commission Dr Rameshananda Vaidya said at a three day seminar on the role of renewable energy in rural development held in Kathmandu. The internatinal seminar being attended by participants from 24 countries plans to maintain closer cooperation among the participating countries, explore engineering activities related to the energy and disseminate successful renewable energy technology (RET) undertaken in the participating countries.
