Gas production in the Krishna-Godavari basin would be doubled in a year from the current four million cubic metres a day to eight millin cubic metres and many more gas-based units can come up in the area, according to Mr. E. Pannuswamy, Union Minister of State of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
