Top government officials including industry, finance, power, and information & technology (IT) secretaries have met visiting Asean delegates to dispel their doubts on investing in India and project the strength of its economy. Stating that fundamentals of the Indian economy are strong, finance secretary D.C. Gupta said: "The economy is expected to grow 6-6.5 per cent this year as a result of number of reforms introduced by the government.' He was addressing an interactive session on the second day of the India-Asean Business Summit, jointly organised by Ficci, CII & ministries of external affairs and commerce & industry.
