Proposals on voluntary efforts by German industry to boost the use of combined heat and power plants (CHP) have been given an initial governmental nod of approval, an economics ministry spokesman said. An official press statement following a cabinet meeting earlier on Wednesday said the industry had made "good progress," spokesman Frank Bonaldo told Reuters from Berlin. "The companies have created a good basis for further work, but talks will continue," spokesman Frank Bonaldo said from Berlin.
