A winter draws in across Europe, scientists in Germany are squeezing more heat from sunshine with the design of a solar-powered house that they claim is more energy-efficient than previous models. The system devised by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems recovers heat from exhaust air in combination with a heat pump, giving an intake of fresh,warm air.
