In the vast North Kashmir belt people have traced natural gas and are harnessing it for the last three years using the traditional methods. The discoveries were made while they started digging tubewells. The latest report about the presence and harnessing of the natural gas came from Selloo village in Sopore. Gulam Hasan Khawaja, a resident, is the proud owner of a "gas tube well" and is harnessing it for the last three months.
