A growing amount of pesticides have been sprayed on golf courses around South Korea raising concerns about harmful effects on players as well as the environment. The Environment Ministry said yesterday that all of Korea's 149 golf courses used a total of 190 tons of pesticides last year, up 2.2 percent from 186 tons in 1999.
